Asian Inspired Open Bookcase

Made primarily from Australian lacewood, this tall (66 inches) contemporary bookcase is not designed to be placed against a wall. With an Asian-inspired design, it is open on both sides (15 inches deep) so it can be positioned in an area away from a wall, and function as a display stand for art objects as well as books. Dovetail joinery was employed to assemble the case, and the bookcase has adjustable shelves. The base is made from solid Wengae,a n African Hardwood, and joins the case with bridal joints.
