A Simple Bench/Chest Combination
It is all Master Terafan's fault ! I am certain that he has heard this before. A visit to his website (www.greydragon.org) and you will see why!

A Simple Gothic Bench
This article describes how to build a simple Gothic-style bench. The materials are very inexpensive - around ten dollars or so. The skills needed to make this bench are not very demanding, as the design is quite simple and does not require much experience with woodworking. Complex tools are not needed. The bench that results can be packed as a relatively flat set of boards. Best of all, the result is both attractive and medieval.

A Sitting Tree
To build your own shady retreat, first choose a tree where you would like to sit in a quiet, secluded area, maybe overlooking a favorite part of the yard. The tree should not be tilted too much and should not have many visible roots.

A Wrap-Around Tree Bench
This comfortable, shaded tree bench is built in a manner that blends with the landscape without harming the tree.

Adirondack Style Two Seater Rocker
Due to popular demand, we have expanded upon the flippant comment at the end of the Adirondack chair feature and now offer the below description of how to make the two-seater rocking chair version. You will notice that the general methodology behind its construction is very similar to that of the standard Adirondack chair.

Asian Sitting Bench
Featuring Asian styling, the elegant sitting bench made in this episode is sculpted from three solid slabs of maple. Integral tenons join the three slabs, and decorative accents carved from purpleheart wood adorn each side of the bench

Bench (Break Down)
In period, benches were a very common item. Here are plans for a bench that although not specifically period will look natural in a period encampment. It is build out of 1x12s and 1x6s so wood is 3/4 inch thick. Tools needed are a saw and a drill. The saw nees to be of the type that can do interior cutouts...such as a coaping saw or jig saw. It will require 2 pegs to hold it together. Pegs in this design are 1 inch dowels tapered at one end.

Bench (Medieval)
Medieval Benches Medieval Benches Terafan decided that he did not have enough seating around the encampment for people to come visit andhang out, or to have around a bardic circle. So he created some. The bench plans went through a Alpha model before arriving at the Beta (or working) model.

Boot Bench
And, regardless of whether it?s the back porch or the front hall, there?s a need for both storage and a place to sit down to lace up those boots. Our bench provides for both these needs, with style. It?s constructed of solid poplar and birch plywood and is simple enough to build in a weekend or two. And you don?t need a lot of fancy equipment. We built the entire piece with basic hand tools and portable power tools.

This bench is great for lounging on a relaxing afternoon, reading or adding entries to your garden journal. Lowe's is happy to provide this information as a service to you.
