1969 PLYMOUTH ROADRUNNER CONVERTIBLE FOR SALE UPDATE SOLD!!

This 1969 Roadrunner bucket seat convertible was purchased new at P-K Chrysler Plymouth in Shamokin, Pa. 17872 on May 21, 1970 a full year after it was built. It was sold to a gentleman that lived, and still does, in Mount Carmel, Pa. about 6 miles from Shamokin, Pa. and the car has been there ever since. The build date on the car was June 17, 1969 at the St. Louis, Missouri plant.
The car has 91,636 orignal miles. The car is near all original except for tires, belts, hoses, one repaint, same original color burished bronze metallic and also the drivers side entire quater panel replaced back in 1975 due to a fender bender. The bumpers and all of the trim is original and are very clean. The bumpers do show a little chrome fade but are rust free. The car still retains the rest of it's original sheetmetal and is 99% rust free except for a very small amout of filler used to blend in the driver quarter that was replaced. The power convertible top is the original one and is in beautiful condition. This car is a 2 owner car. I personally know both owners and have talked to them about the history of the car. It was garage kept most of it's life, not all but most, this is the reason for being 99% rust free.
Now to the full condition of the car. Again it is 99% rust free. The floors, doors, cowl, rad support, fenders, hood, trunck extentions, inner fender and quarter wells, passenger quater panel and trunk are all original to the car with the exception for the driver side entire quater panel. All of the sheetmetal is rock solid with no rust. The trunk and trunk lid lip has just a very small amount of surface scale which can be sanded down and repainted to be 100%. All the glass is original and in perfect condition. How many convertible from 1969 do you find with the original power top that is in near perfect condtion, with the exception of a broken zipper on the rear glass window. The interior is original and in very nice condition. The seats are in great shape and are tear free. The rear seat that you sit your butt on is black but has a different design because it came out of another convertible. The gauges work except for the gas gauge, the float is not working right. All of the lights work as they should as well as the heater and fan blower motor and the wipers as well as the power top. The rad support and the trunk lip have the vin # stamper into them and match, as they are original. The entire engine, transmission and rear end are totally matching #'s as well. I persoannly checked out every Vin # stamping on the body and drivetrain and ran all of the casting numbers on the rear and engine parts to make sure they are correct and they are. The engine has all of it's original components such as the intake, exhaust manifolds, carb, radiator, fan, oil pan, valve covers, etc.all original to the car. The car starts right up and idels very nice. The transmission shifts very firm but smooth. I did change all of the fluids and filters in the car. Also I did replace the original water and fuel pumps because they did leak somewhat, but I did keep them as they were from 1969, they go with the car so they can be rebuilt and reinstalled.
The VIN read RM27H9G290730 which braks down to 1969 roadrunner convertible with 383(335HP) made in St, Louis, Missouri. I also looked for th build sheet when I got the car and it was found under the drivers seat thats the good news, the bad news is that the vin # for the build sheet that was found reads RM27H9G290728 which was 2 cars before mine at the assembly plant. That car was a red Roadrunner convetible bucket seat car with console but had the same black interior as mine. So the bucket seats were mixed up with mine and I will bet that that car has my build sheet under it's drivers seat. I spoke to the original owner and he had told me that the hubcaps that are on the car ARE the original ones an that the car came with Goodyear polyglass raised white letter tires originally. He also told me that he is 95% sure he has the original window sticker and also has some pictures of the car when he bought it. He told me he will look for them and give them to me to go with the car.
Thi is a chance to own a rare piece of Mopar muscle.Plymouth only made 2,027 Roadrunner convertibles in 1969 which was the first year for bucket seats and the convertible option. How many are left? How many are numbers matching? How many still have the original top? How many have all of it's original sheetmetal except for one quater? This is a very clean original car that just need a little here and there like, the paint has some chips and the engine and trnsa need detailing but very little.
