Two tone End Table
This attractive table had its origins in the functional tables built by Shaker craftsmen in the 19th century. As a result, its clean lines make this table work in just about any home decor, whether your taste is country or contemporary. This is an excellent project for the advanced woodworker, since it requires skill in such cabinetmaking tasks as edge-joining, mortise and tenon joints, tapering legs, drawer-making, and producing a professional-looking finish. The prototype table was finished to suit today's tastes in home furnishings; its carcase is tinted while the top is stained to emphasize the wood's grain. All is coated and protected with crystal clear finish that will ensure many years of service.
